What to Expect at
Optimal Health Solutions As A New Patient?
Holistic Neuropathy care is a journey, not a single visit. Understanding our 3-phase care approach helps you know exactly where you are — and where you’re headed — on the path to lasting health.
Laying the Foundation for Total Health
Chiropractic care is like building a house — certain things have to happen in a particular order for everything to stand strong. If you tried to put up walls before a solid foundation, they would be weak and eventually collapse. The same is true for your body. Your body must go through a specific plan of care to repair itself correctly and fully. At Optimal Health Solutions, we guide every patient through three carefully structured phases designed to reduce pain, heal the underlying cause, and keep you feeling great long-term.
Each phase builds on the last. Skipping ahead — especially stopping once pain disappears — is the most common reason conditions return.
Phase 1
Relief Care — Thumbs Up to Feeling Better
The first and most immediate goal is to reduce your pain and symptoms so you can function and feel better as quickly as possible.
Many people come to us because they’re in pain. In this first phase, our primary objective is to help you feel better. Sometimes this requires daily visits, or two to three visits per week for a period of time.
Most people assume that if they don’t feel pain, nothing is wrong — that they are healthy. Unfortunately, pain is a very poor indicator of health. Pain and other symptoms frequently only appear after a condition has already become advanced.
Consider a cavity in your tooth. Does it hurt when it first develops, or only after it has become serious? The same is true of heart disease, diabetes, spinal problems, and most health conditions. Pain is usually the last thing to appear — and when you begin chiropractic care, it is also the first thing to disappear, even though much of the underlying condition remains.
This is why completing your full treatment plan is so important — relief from pain is just the beginning, not the end of your healing.
💡 Feeling better does not mean you are fully healed. The underlying condition requires continued care to prevent recurrence.

Phase 2
Corrective Care — Teaming Up for Optimal Health
With pain reduced, we now focus on healing the root cause — repairing muscles, tissues, and structural alignment to prevent your condition from returning.
Most chiropractors regard the elimination of symptoms as the easiest part of a patient’s care. If all we did was reduce your pain and stop there, the chances of your condition recurring would be much greater. In order to prevent a rapid recurrence of symptoms, it is necessary to continue receiving care even after your symptoms are gone.
During the corrective phase, you will not need adjustments as often as during Phase 1. Depending on your circumstances, you may also begin doing exercises and stretches — either here at the center or at home — to help accelerate your healing.
Do not be discouraged if you have mild flare-ups on occasion. This is normal. Flare-ups can occur during this phase because your body has not fully healed. Think of it like a broken bone — the cast can come off before the bone is truly solid.
Depending on the severity of your condition and how long you’ve been suffering from it, this phase may last anywhere from a few months to a couple of years.
⚠️ Stopping care when pain disappears is the #1 reason conditions return. Phase 2 is what makes your results last.

Phase 3
Wellness Care — Maintenance is Key to Healthy Living
Once your body has fully healed, routine chiropractic care ensures your problems don’t return and keeps your body performing at its best.
Once your body has fully healed, routine chiropractic care can help ensure your physical problems do not return and keep your body in optimal condition. Just like continuing an exercise program and eating well to sustain those benefits, it is necessary to continue chiropractic care to ensure the ongoing health of your musculoskeletal system.
When you make routine chiropractic care a part of your lifestyle, you avoid many of the aches and pains that so many people simply accept as “normal” aging. Your joints will last longer, your nervous system will function better, and you will be able to engage in more of the activities you love — with less pain and more energy.
Wellness care visits are brief and infrequent compared to earlier phases. Most patients look forward to them as a regular tune-up that keeps everything aligned and functioning well.
🌟 Patients who continue with wellness care report fewer injuries, better posture, improved sleep, and higher overall energy levels.

Simply call us at 864-702-3007 or schedule online, and Dr. Holet will personally develop a care plan tailored to your condition, your goals, and your life — so you can get back to feeling your best.
How long will it take before I feel better?
Most patients experience noticeable relief within the first few visits. However, how quickly you feel better depends on the severity and duration of your condition. Some patients feel improvement after their very first adjustment.
How long does the full care plan take?
It varies by patient. Phase 1 Relief Care typically takes 4–12 weeks. Phase 2 Corrective Care can last 6–24 months depending on your condition. Phase 3 Wellness Care is an ongoing monthly commitment based on your lifestyle and goals.
What happens during my very first visit?
Your first visit includes a full consultation with Dr. Holet where he reviews your health history, current symptoms, and goals. He will perform a physical assessment and explain his findings before recommending a personalized care plan.
Why do I need to keep coming back after my pain is gone?
Pain disappearing does not mean your condition is fully healed. The underlying structural and tissue damage takes much longer to repair. Stopping care early is the number one reason conditions return. Completing your full plan protects your results long-term.
Is chiropractic care covered by insurance?
Many insurance plans cover chiropractic care, particularly Phase 1 Relief Care. We recommend checking with your provider
